Our Services

Higher Learning delivers structured youth development services that support confidence, communication, creativity, purpose, and life readiness. Our programs are designed for young people across schools, communities, councils, organisations, and families.

We provide group based programs and one on one mentoring that help young people develop practical skills, strengthen identity, and prepare for education, employment, and leadership.

Higher Learning is not counselling or therapy. We provide mentoring, skill development, and early intervention support with appropriate referral pathways where required.

Performing Arts Workshops

Our performing arts workshops engage young people through acting, movement, music, and performance. These sessions are designed to build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and self expression while helping students explore their talents in a supportive environment.

Workshops can be delivered as one off sessions, short programs, or term based offerings for schools and community groups.

Creative Expression and Voice Programs

Creative expression is a core pillar of Higher Learning. We use storytelling, writing, speaking, and performance as tools for identity, confidence, and communication development.

These programs are particularly effective for young people who struggle to express themselves through traditional learning methods and provide a safe space for voice and growth.

Media Production Programs

Our media production programs introduce young people to filmmaking, photography, content creation, and digital storytelling. Students learn how to communicate ideas clearly, work collaboratively, and develop practical skills relevant to the modern digital world.

Programs can include project based learning, short form media creation, and storytelling for community or showcase purposes.

Business Skills and Entrepreneurship Training

Higher Learning offers business focused programs that introduce young people to entrepreneurship, leadership, and practical decision making.

Students learn foundational business skills including idea development, teamwork, communication, responsibility, and understanding how businesses operate. These programs are designed to build confidence, initiative, and future readiness rather than formal business accreditation.

Mentorship and Coaching

We provide structured one on one mentoring and coaching for young people who benefit from focused guidance and accountability from a trusted adult.

Mentoring may focus on confidence, communication, life skills, school engagement, employment readiness, leadership development, or personal growth. All mentoring is delivered with consent, clear boundaries, and documented goals.

Mentoring programs are available as short term programs of 6 to 10 weeks or ongoing support arrangements through families, schools, or organisations.

Employment and Work Readiness Mentoring

Our employment mentoring supports young people preparing for their first job or transitioning from school into work or training.

Programs focus on workplace confidence, communication, expectations, reliability, and personal presentation. This service is ideal for young people who lack confidence in employment settings or need support maintaining work once employed.

Delivered through one on one mentoring or small group programs.

Life Skills and Personal Development Programs

These programs focus on the foundational skills young people need to navigate life confidently.

Areas of focus include communication, emotional awareness (non clinical), decision making, accountability, discipline, resilience, and routine building. Programs are delivered through mentoring sessions or structured group workshops.

School Engagement and Re Engagement Support

Higher Learning works alongside schools and families to support students who are disengaging from learning or struggling with motivation and purpose.

Support focuses on mentoring, confidence building, communication skills, and identity development. Programs are delivered in partnership with schools and community organisations.

Youth Leadership Development

Our leadership programs support young people stepping into leadership roles within schools, communities, and peer groups.

Programs focus on communication, responsibility, positive influence, decision making, and community contribution. Suitable for schools, councils, churches, and youth organisations.

Creative Arts Retreats

Our creative arts retreats offer immersive experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, and personal growth.

Retreats provide young people with the opportunity to step away from everyday environments, explore new ideas, strengthen relationships, and build confidence through shared creative experiences.

Community Engagement Projects

Higher Learning delivers community based projects that encourage young people to contribute positively to their communities.

These projects promote leadership, social responsibility, teamwork, and storytelling while empowering young people to use their voices for positive impact.
